Openfield helps early-, mid-, and mature-stage EdTech companies quickly identify and eliminate barriers that keep their products from reaching their full potential.
Project-based engagements typically run between two to six months in duration. The majority of new relationships with product teams begin with a project to address a specific challenge with a clearly defined scope, budget and timeline. Timelines and budgets are largely dictated by how complex your challenges and goals are. Your EdTech product’s needs may be highly focused around a specific feature or component, or they may have more broad implications across your product that require more planning, research, design, and collaboration with your engineering team to ensure a smooth transition to build.
We Have Experience Solving Problems at Every Step of EdTech Projects, Including:
Accessibility assessment and remediation
High-fidelity user interface design with associated instructions and guidance for your engineering team
Strategic UX roadmap planning to ensure the balance between short-term wins and long-term initiatives is well executed
Design guidelines and component libraries to increase efficiency and ensure consistent user experiences as your product grows
Heuristic product evaluation and assessment to identify success and improvement opportunities
Journey mapping, user flow and task flow assessment, evaluation and creation
How We Help Your Product Reach Its Full Potential
The process of working together on a project begins with a free initial consultation to understand the nature of your challenges and what you’re hoping to achieve. Once we’ve properly defined your needs, we’ll provide a proposal outlining recommended services, personnel, timeline, and budget for your approval before beginning work together. Total project fees are typically based on monthly spends, which start at $12,500 and are based on the number of Openfield team members required to complete the project within the established timeline.
Project-Based Quick Wins That Build Trust and Momentum
While shorter-term projects to tackle specific challenges are the most common and prudent way to start working with us, many clients who experience quick wins eventually decide to transition to an ongoing long-term engagement to free themselves from specific scopes and budgets because they prefer a more flexible approach to how they utilize our services and team.
